Basketball Career is a free basketball career game you play in your browser. You create one American player and make the call every offseason: which school to commit to, whether to declare for the draft, sign an extension, request a trade or test free agency, and how to handle whatever the season throws at you. Then the season plays out in seconds. One career runs until you retire and takes about ten minutes. At the end you get a career summary and a share card.
Start as a high school recruit on the summer circuit. Commit to a college, go one-and-done or stay and develop, or get paid early overseas or in the development league. Then comes the Pro Draft and its lottery, rookie deals and two-way contracts, the play-in and the playoffs, trades and free agency, and a call-up to the national team.
Women's careers follow how the women's game works: usually four years of college, a three-round draft, a short summer pro season, and winters overseas for big money or in a winter 3x3 league. You have to report back before the pro season starts. Core designation, equal pay and maternity moments are all part of it.
There are 115+ career moments, from official visits and NIL deals to Summer League, load management and a shoe deal, plus a named rival from your own class who follows you through your career. Most show you the odds before you choose. Pick a pace: Express, Normal or Intense. Play the Daily Draft or the Weekly challenge, where everyone gets the same seed, or start a new career as often as you like. No account, no download, no ads.

Yes, on the men's side. After one college season you're 19 and can declare for the Pro Draft. You can also skip college and turn pro overseas or in the development league until you're draft-eligible. The draft has two rounds and a lottery for non-playoff teams. If you go undrafted, you can still sign a two-way deal.
Yes. It was built for phones first, with big tap targets, a bottom bar and swipe-to-close panels. It works just as well on a tablet or desktop.
About 5 to 15 minutes. Express mode moves three seasons at a time and Intense mode goes one season at a time, so you choose the pace.
No. Every team, league, school, competition and player is fictional, so nobody's name or brand is used. The structure of American basketball is real: high school and the summer circuit, college and the transfer portal, the draft lottery, two-way and 10-day contracts, restricted free agency, trades, the play-in and the playoffs.
One shared career a day. Everyone gets the same seed, so the same high school offers and the same luck. Play it, then compare Hall of Fame scores on the daily leaderboard.
One fixed career for a whole week, with a different start each week: for example an undrafted grinder, the women's game on Express pace, or a decision every season. Everyone gets the same seed, and your best Hall of Fame score goes on the weekly leaderboard.
A player from your own class with a career of their own. Once you're both pro, they show up in your story: they call you out, you meet in the playoffs, and one day they might ask you to team up. At retirement you see who won the rivalry.
Scorer, Playmaker, Two-way or Balanced changes your stat line and the awards you're likely to win, and adds a moment of its own. A scorer chases scoring titles, a two-way player chases Defensive Player of the Year, and a playmaker makes the team more likely to win.
Yes. Three extra starting stories unlock through achievements: Can't-miss prodigy (win Rookie of the Year), Legacy kid (go No. 1 in the Pro Draft) and Second act, a comeback at 27 (win MVP). Achievements also unlock new jerseys.
A 0 to 100 rating of your whole career. It counts your championship rings and other trophies, awards like MVP and All-League teams, your points, rebounds and assists, national team games, peak rating and how much the fans loved you where you stayed.
